1) design your own — it’s easy

Starting your design Iremba will allow you to create your design by selecting the colors and by designing your own screen-printed graphic. The best application for editing is Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop is also effective. Both applications are available as free trials at the Adobe website. Here is a link…

If you are like us when we were starting out you can’t afford these programs. A great alternative is open source software. For Photoshop like capabilities use Gimp. Here is a link...

For Illustrator like capabilities use Inkscape. Here is a link...

The following will walk you through step by step…

1. Color — first select the colors you would like to use from the palette. The palette allows you to control the following colors
a. Outsole color
b. Stripes on outsole
c. Front of shoe
d. Sides of shoe
e. Heel of shoe
f. Binding

Choose your outsole color (white or black).

There are 10 fabric colors that are available for you to use and they are shown on the palette that is included with the template.

2. Graphic — The next step is to design your screen print graphics. The artwork can be created in illustrator or in a raster editing application like Photoshop. The graphic will be applied to the fabric by a process known as screenprinting. If you are unfamiliar with screen-printing, there is a good overview on Wikipedia. Here is a link...

You can use up to 5 colors. The process can create remarkably different effects. The template will allow you to create a graphic application to the outside of the shoe and the inside of the shoe.

3. Finalizing your design – The next step is finalizing your design and preparing your submission. The best way to finalize your design is to rasterize your graphic print artwork. This file should be submitted as a flat JPEG 500 x 400 pixels (72dpi). You can also copy and paste this graphic image over the colored image of the shoe and use the clipping mask to create a simulation of the finished shoe. You can save this image as a JPEG 500 x 400 pixels (72dpi).

At this time it is not necessary to submit the Illustrator file. If your design wins we will contact you and request the more detailed files.

4. Submitting your design – You can submit the design by going to the upload page and follow the directions to upload the design graphic JPEG and the simulation of the finished shoe JPEG.

5. Questions – if you have questions please contact us by e-mail.
